A deadly virus, a recession, loss, isolation and frustration have made the past 10 months difficult. But there is hope. Scores of newly elected leaders plan to make good on their campaign promises and make the people and communities they serve healthier and more resilient.
Michigan House Democratic Leader Donna Lasinski, of Scio Township, will work to turn hope and promise into actionable change in the state’s 101st Legislature.
Leader Lasinski quickly established herself as a clean water champion when first elected to office in 2017. She co-sponsored what is now the strictest PFAS water pollution limits in the nation and water pollution limits for 1,4 dioxane, a chemical pollutant likely to cause cancer. She also served as vice chair of the Energy Policy Committee and saw her government transparency bill through with unanimous support.
Join Leader Lasinski and MEC President/CEO Conan Smith as they discuss the state of the Legislature and Michigan and what that means for seeing through good environmental laws.
