Alicia Ping

Alicia Ping

Treasurer, at-large member

Alicia Ping joined MEC’s board in 2019. It is her first board position since her recently concluded 20 years of elected office as a city of Saline councilwoman and a Washtenaw County Commissioner.

During her time in elected office, Ping turned her interest in proper waste disposal into action. Among her accomplishments are storm drain labeling action and co-sponsoring and passing a resolution banning single-use plastic bags in Washtenaw County.

As an MEC board member, she hopes to better connect the nonprofit to a broader, more diverse group of Michiganders.

Ping’s experience connecting people goes beyond her elected positions. Ping is currently the senior enterprise sales director at Adobe, an international computer software company. She previously worked as vice president of sales for BryterCX and director of sales at Clarabridge of Foresee, all of which are customer experience companies. These roles are complemented by degrees from Washtenaw Community College and Eastern Michigan University.

When the Scio Township resident is off work, she enjoys golfing and going up north—she especially loves visiting Mackinac Island, where she once worked at for a summer.
