Tori Fancher Kletke
The Michigan Environmental Council would be motionless and visionless without its Board of Directors and its Executive Team. Both groups would be motionless and visionless themselves without Tori. She ensures they are operating efficiently, continuously engaged and working with staff, member groups and donors to get good policies passed.
Tori joined the Environmental Council's staff in September 2021 after serving as a legislative director for Republican and Democratic legislators. Among her proudest accomplishments was leading a healthy food access campaign and helping pass legislation that strengthened protections for parolees.
Among Tori's other experiences include campaign work with both the Michigan Democratic and Republican parties. She rounds out her experience with business education from Davenport University and diversity, equity and inclusion training.
When at home in Lansing, Tori likes to practice yoga and create art—her go-to mediums are paint, charcoal and pencil. She also enjoys walking and exploring with a camera in hand. She can often be found at the Capitol taking photos of the sunset against the building and nearby churches.
