MEC building closed in response to COVID-19 public health recommendations

Michigan Environmental Council has closed its physical Lansing office to help mitigate the spread of coronavirus COVID-19, following guidance from the state of Michigan and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

We apologize if this inconveniences anyone who relies on our meeting space, but we believe it is necessary and appropriate.

Fortunately, our team is well-prepared to drive Michigan’s environmental agenda from alternate locations. We will remain vigilant and be at the Capitol as necessary. The Legislature is still in session and plans to move environmental policy.

Otherwise, staff members are mostly working from home. You can reach them via email, phone and remote meeting capabilities. Their direct contact information can be found under our staff page. You can also leave MEC a voicemail through our general phone number, (517) 487-9539.

This is a tough moment for our society. We are carefully balancing meeting our mission to defend Michigan's environment and doing our part to protect public health during this epidemic.
