Late last year Michigan Environmental Council saw a number of its policy priorities through. We helped create a temporary end to water shutoffs, blocked a bill that allowed mines in our communities, blocked a bill that barred most electric vehicle companies from setting up shop.
Yet, pandemic realities prevented numerous policies that could have drastically changed Michigan for the better from gaining traction. Now, with vaccine distribution ramping up and with new House leadership, we have the chance to push for these policies again – and new ones to boot.
Join Sean Hammond, MEC policy director, and Charlotte Jameson, MEC legislative affairs director, Conan Smith, MEC President/CEO, as they share their plans to make Michigan and its people healthier and more resilient through good legislation.
