Lisa Brush joined MEC’s board in 2012. She is part of its ad hoc bylaws review, development, executive, finance and audit, nominating, Petoskey Prize and policy and strategy committees.
She is founder and director of Stewardship Network. Through organizational management, grants management, communications and training, Bunch guides the Ann Arbor-based nonprofit as it helps people identify community and conservation needs and then provides support.
In addition to MEC board chair, the Ann Arbor resident serves as board vice president of both the Leslie Science and Nature Center and Midwest Invasive Plant Network.
All of Brush’s work experiences are bolstered by a bachelor’s degree in science in society from Wesleyan University and a masters degree from the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment. She is also a graduate of Michigan State University’s Great Lakes Leadership Academy.
