Member group representative
Bob Allison joined MEC’s board in 2017. He is part of its member and policy and strategy committees.
As deputy director of Michigan League of Conservation Voters’ Voter Education Fund, Allison educates and engages Michiganders and decision-makers on the state’s natural resources. Allison oversees its member engagement, coalition building, lobbying and communications.
Allison brings to MEC’s board 20 years of experience running field campaigns, improving public policy and engaging donors and funders. He previously served as press secretary for former Congressman David Bonior, executive director of Michigan’s Service Employees International Union and investigative report for Gannett and Booth.
The Berkely resident and Manistee National Forest vacationer rounds out his experiences with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from Michigan State University.
