Bay City clean energy marches raise awareness of climate change challenges, solutions

Marches culminate in group photo for 350.org movement
A pair of marches to bring awareness to the growing impact of climate change and the need for clean energy policies will take place in Bay City on Saturday, March 14.

The marches will converge at a city park for a group photo that will be part of the national 350 campaign – so named because 350 parts per million is considered by scientists the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

The public is encouraged to attend the Mothers and Others Walk for Clean Energy and the Students March for Clean Energy – both starting at 11 a.m. from separate locations and ending at the picture site in Veterans Park.
